Remixing Isabella Lovestory’s Telenovela: From Familiar Faces to New Frontiers

For years, I’ve leaned into collaborations with people I know – Erik Vilde, BosseBus, Bamse of Sweden (Magnus), and Ingela Karlsson (now known as Ingela “MB”). Each of them helped shape how I see creative synergy. Still, I’ve always hesitated when it comes to trusting my own instincts, especially when working in my DAW. It wasn’t until around 2022 that I really started to break away from rigid structures and dive into experimental forms, particularly in EDM.

Looking back, I’ve made a lot I’m proud of – even if it didn’t always fit the mainstream mold. But there’s value in that too.

This week marked something different. I received a mail from SoundCloud about an open remix call with Isabella Lovestory, known for her edgy reggaeton-pop sound. The track was Telenovela, and she’d released the stems through Fadr. I didn’t expect to join in – but I did. And a few hours later, my first Fadr remix was live.

No hesitation. Just momentum. And for the first time in a while, it felt like something shifted.
